At Moreld Ocean Wind, our mission is to accelerate the industrialization of offshore floating wind farms
Moreld Ocean Wind is an EPCI contractor industrializing large, complex offshore wind farm projects. With offices in Stavanger, Bergen, and Oslo our goals are to design, fabricate, assemble and install the offshore floating units to the highest safety and quality standards, within agreed budgets and schedules.
In April 2021 we invested in Ocergy Inc., a design and technology company with one of the most promising OFW technologies in the world. Moreld Ocean Wind is now the second largest shareholder, alongside Chevron Technology Ventures. Together with our technology partner, we are involved in studies and bids in several countries all around the world, providing Offshore Floating Wind solutions.
As a former part of the Moreld family and backed by HitecVision, we work closely with our former sister-companies Moreld Apply, Moreld Global Maritime, and Origo.


Job Description:

  • ControlPrepare automation documentation: System topologies, Layout's, SCDs, logic diagram, block diagrams, Cause & effect, IO/signal list, HMI mark-up, datasheets, hook-up diagrams 
  • Establish and design control and shut-down control philosophy and logic 
  • Prepare Instrument/SCADA philosophy 
  • Prepare Field Networking, Network Interconnection and Integration 
  • Prepare instrument and telecom documentation (block diagrams, wiring/interconnection diagram, loop drawings, cable route/cable tray design, datasheets)
  • Prepare technical specifications and liaise with vendors/suppliers, capable of becoming package responsible
  • Contribute on governance and interpretation of Cyber Security Requirements  
  • Ensure that documentation is in accordance with guidelines and code requirements 
  • Quality check of discipline deliverables 
  • Follow-up planning dates and milestones 
  • Comply with the company's HSE guidelines and QA objectives 
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance test, and onshore testing/commissioning if required 
  • Participate in all stages of design process (FEED, detail design, EPC)
  • Coordination of deliverables with other disciplines and suppliers (project dependencies) 

Qualifications:
  • Formal higher education degree in engineering is preferred 
  • Experience and knowledge of industry standard communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus RTU/TCP, RS232/422/285) and principles for field instrumentation (Flow, Level, Fire & Gas detection, etc.) 
  • Experience with Norsok, ATEX, IEC 
  • Experience with a control systems PLC/DCS is preferred. Design, developing, and programming of control system logic 
  • Experience from marine projects/wind projects is preferred
  • Field experience/commissioning experience is preferred
