Job Description:

  • The Project Completion Engineer is responsible for engaging and performing Completion and Commissioning activities related to the fabrication testing, documentation preparation and system testing of PWP topside equipment with special attention to Heat Trace scope.
  • This position is fully mobile with base location onshore Yard at Rosenberg and Stord, and at later stage Offshore.
    Position Purpose
  • Role to ensure completion and commissioning requirements of all PWP process systems, meeting all Company’s project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
  • Responsible for implementing the commissioning certification and handover process according to Project Completion Strategy for relevant systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of relevant systems to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
  • Create detailed commissioning plans for heat trace systems.
  • Supervise the installation and commissioning of heat trace systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Coordinate Heat Trace activity regarding pipe test and Insulation.
  • Perform quality checks on heat trace calculations, isometrics, and block diagrams.
  • Conduct functional tests and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the commissioning process.
  • Maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation and provide regular progress reports.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide training and guidance for operation and maintenance of heat trace systems.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
    Overall responsible for Heat Trace systems, providing supervision, direction, and guidance with regards to:
  • Execution of Commissioning activities assigned by the Comm System Lead Electro
  • Verify Construction Field installations are according to design/ISO/P&ID's in collaboration with System Lead
  • Knowledge/knowledge of reading/understanding P&ID's and ISO's · Participate in check-out, verification (Walk Down/Yellow line) according to the RFCC Hand-Over Process
  • Plan and facilitate for check-out/execution of static commissioning
  • Plan and facilitate for Dynamic Commissioning activities
  • Participate in meetings for planning Commissioning activities
  • According to good Alliance practice, ensure good communication between operation, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers
  • Daily reporting to the Commissioning System Lead regarding ongoing Commissioning activities
  • Updates of Master Dossier for P&ID Red-line Mark-up, Valve and Blinding list according to System Lead's instructions
  • Assist with the collection of documentation related to RFOC Hand-over according to the System Lead's instructions
  • Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews when necessary
  • Contribute and advice related to Process input to overall Completion strategy and planning
  • Provide guidance and direction to the Process Commissioning Team, contributing in:
  • Develop and review relevant commissioning procedures.

Qualifications:
  • BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
  • Electrician Certificate
  • Documented Ex competence with valid classroom courses
    Essential experience and job requirements:
  • Track record of engineering competency and delivery in the Oil & Gas industry and able to demonstrate effective project management skills
  • Familiarity with: -MS Office 365 -Pims CMS
  • Ability to engage and lead a team of professionals
  • Familiarity with planning tools, works management systems and document management systems
  • Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning electrical heat trace systems or similar roles.
