Locations: Trondheim, Oslo, Stavanger

This role as an operations geologist is a part of our Client's D&W project and will be working in close 
collaboration with the asset, subsurface, projects, contractors and the drilling superintendents. The 
position will require presence at Client's offices either in Trondheim, Oslo or Stavanger and reports to
the relevant D&W Manager. The development consist of 9 subsea templates, 3 platforms and a total of 59 wells. 
Planned spud is during first half of 2025.

In this role, you will be responsible for improve operational effectiveness and cost reduction during well 
planning and execution. Operations geology role is organized within the D&W department so being a 
good communicator between the subsurface and drilling department to achieve common goals is of great 
importance.

Typical work tasks can be: 
• Provide input to risk analysis, well design, data acquisition plan, geological evaluation and 
  pore pressure prediction
• Geological supervision of drilling operations.
• Responsible for successful acquisition of data as detailed in Data Acquisition Plan, delivery 
  of all Geological Deliveries to Subsurface teams including Daily Geological Report, 
  monitoring and quality assurance of service provider deliverables
• Responsible for capturing lessons learned during operations to ensure continuous 
  improvement within the company.
• Responsible for QC/ archiving of acquired data/reports and completion of Final Well report

Skills and qualifications: 
• Minimum M.Sc. engineering/Geology degree or similar in scientific subjects.
• Experience in well planning and offshore operations
• Pore, fracture gradient and wellbore stability prognosis experience is of advantage
• Fluent in English and preferably fluent in Norwegian, both verbal and written
• Experience in Petrel, Gravitas or other relevant software is of an advantage
