Summer Internship: Workshop Assistant
As Workshop Assistant, your primary role is to assist the service team and provide support with general workshop duties.
The Workshop Assistant role requires extensive use of workshop and lifting equipment and is an integral role within the service team to ensure efficient maintenance and timely mobilization of tools.
Job Description
- Assist Service Technicians where required during tool service process
- General workshop duties including washing, cleaning and preparing of tools for inspection. Painting of tools to prepare for dispatch
- Assist with goods in-out, pack and un-pack cargo baskets, inventory and rework shipments
- Extensive safe and efficient use of all workshop service and lifting equipment following all applicable risk assessments and JSA’s.
- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and participating in preventive maintenance system to ensure workshop equipment checks are completed
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and adhere to company’s and customers QHSE standards at all times.
Qualification Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar job role is preferable.
- Good communication skills - both English and Norwegian
- Service minded and able to work independently and structured in a high pace environment
