Swedbank is now looking for an Accounting Development Expert.
About the Role
The role is part of Accounting Development, which is a part of Accounting Nordic within the GF/CFO Office function. Accounting Development contributes to the strategic development of the bank.
As one of eight experts in the Accounting Development team, you work with assisting and supporting the business in various development projects in line with Swedbank’s Strategic Development Plan. Projects can be within the CFO Office or for other business units such as Payments, Cards, Savings, Markets. The focus is on the accounting of financial instruments.
Our working method is agile, based on a 1–3-year roadmap, with short-term planning conducted at 10-week intervals. You will serve as the main point of contact between various stakeholders with specific operational and technical expertise within the bank.
The work involves defining, validating, and implementing according to current requirements for accounting processes.
You need to be curious and willing to learn new things within various business areas to be able to act as an accounting expert, and contribute to developing new accounting processes.
Education
Relevant academic degree.
Background
We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and experience (minimum five years) in the accounting of financial instruments, from institutions supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen).
It is an advantage if you have worked with development of accounting operations and are used to cooperate with various stakeholders.
Experience working in an agile method or in project form is also beneficial.
It is good if you have experience from complex financial operations, preferably from the banking sector.
