The company has developed a patented lateral stimulation system that enhances well productivity by drilling precise lateral branches from the main wellbore. Compared to traditional hydraulic fracturing, this method delivers significant production gains, up to 95% lower CO₂ emissions, and improved operational efficiency. Fishbones’ solutions are deployed globally across five continents and tailored to a variety of geological formations, including sandstone, carbonates, and coal-bed methane. Fishbones is entering an exciting scale-up phase. We are seeking a strategic and hands-on CFO to play a key role in driving the company’s continued growth and international expansion. You will lead the financial function, ensure compliance, and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead financial management, including budgeting, reporting, liquidity, and risk control
- Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations (IFRS, taxation, ESG/GDPR, anti-corruption)
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to management and the board
- Develop and optimize systems and processes, including ERP and digital finance tools
- Represent the company in dialogue with banks, investors, and other external stakeholders
- Support international expansion and manage complex corporate structures
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team through effective delegation and trust-based leadership
We are looking for a CFO who
- Holds a higher degree in finance, economics, accounting, or auditing
- Has solid experience as CFO or in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within the technology or energy sector
- Brings strong knowledge of project finance and international corporate structures
- Communicates clearly and effectively across cultures and organizational levels, in both English and Norwegian
- Is experienced with ERP systems and digital financial tools, or eager to build strong capabilities in this area
- Demonstrates professionalism and flexibility while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Works proactively with compliance and anti-corruption regulations
