We’re building a new green industry – join us as our Project Procurement Manager

VOW GREEN METALS AS
Vow Green Metals is spearheading the development of a new green industry. Our ambition is to become a leading European producer of biocarbon and other carbon-neutral products that enable the green transition in hard-to-abate sectors. We build, own, and operate biocarbon production plants based on advanced pyrolysis technology, converting biomass into high-quality biocarbon – a renewable alternative to fossil reduction agents in the metallurgical industry. The process also yields other valuable products, including bio-oil and bioenergy. Our mission is to accelerate the shift to renewable materials and enable sustainable growth across industrial value chains. Vow Green Metals is backed by strong owners providing growth capital and industrial expertise: HitecVision, a leading private equity investor in the European energy sector, together with regional renewable energy producers Vardar and Skagerak Energipartner.

Purpose of position: As Project Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for strategically acquiring the goods, services, and resources needed to execute complex projects. You will oversee the full procurement lifecycle—from planning and supplier selection to contract administration and risk management—ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-aligned procurement. The role reports directly to the VP Projects and Project Director. The position is based at Lilleakerveien 2F and may involve collaboration with relevant project sites. This is a role requiring proactive engagement with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure procurement success throughout the project lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibility: As Project Procurement Manager, you will support the Project Management Team and take ownership of procurement strategy and execution. Your responsibilities include:
  • Procurement Planning and Strategy Development: Assisting with procurement processes and budget input during project planning. Designing procurement strategies and selecting appropriate contract types.
  • Vendor Identification and Tender Management: Collaborating with project teams to identify and evaluate potential suppliers. Managing bids and proposals, selecting suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
  • Contract Negotiation and Supplier Management: Drafting and negotiating contracts with clear terms, deliverables, and payment schedules. Monitoring vendor performance, maintaining relationships, and resolving issues.
  • Risk Mitigation and Budget Compliance: Identifying supply chain risks and implementing strategies such as dual sourcing and audits. Ensuring procurement activities align with project budgets and company policies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Performance Tracking: Working with finance, technology, and production teams to meet project goals. Documenting procurement activities, budget utilization, and lessons learned.
Competence: We are looking for a candidate with a BSc or MSc in technology or engineering, and solid experience in procurement within industrial or project environments. You should have a strong background in contract management and the ability to analyze data to make informed decisions. A proactive approach to taking full ownership of tasks from start to finish is essential. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Norwegian. We recognize that valuable expertise comes in many forms. If you do not meet all the specified educational or experience requirements but possess other relevant qualifications, skills, or industry experience, we still encourage you to apply. Equivalent professional experience, alternative academic backgrounds, or demonstrated success in similar roles may be considered in place of formal criteria. We value diverse perspectives and are committed to finding the right person for the role.

Personal characteristics: To thrive in this role, you should be detail-oriented and possess good multitasking and time-management skills. You are a confident communicator with strong interpersonal abilities and a structured approach to problem-solving. A high sense of ownership and accountability is key. An interest in sustainability and the green transition will be considered a valuable asset.

Application deadline: October 20th – we review applications on an ongoing basis, so don’t wait to submit yours! You are free to submit your CV and application in either English or Norwegian — whichever you prefer. For more information about the position, please contact senior advisor Philip H. Garder at phg@skc.no, mobile number +47 94856877, or senior advisor Monica Nordby at mn@skc.no, mobile number +47 45853755.
